Privacy notice
This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. It has a question assistant. This page says exactly what that assistant does with what you type, in each of its two modes.
While the live assistant is off: nothing you type leaves your browser
The assistant has two modes, and the note under the question box always says which one you are in. Whenever Kelynto's product service is not reachable, or its assistant is switched off, the assistant works entirely inside your browser. As of the date above the product service is not running, so this is the mode every visitor is in.
- The answers are a file published with this site. Your question is matched against it in your browser.
- Your question is not sent to Kelynto or to anyone else, and it is not stored anywhere.
- No visit events are sent.
- The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
When a page loads, your browser asks the product service at app.kelynto.com one question: is the live assistant available? That request carries no information about you beyond what any web request carries. If the service does not answer, the page stays in this mode.
When the live assistant is on
When the product service is running and its assistant is on, your questions are sent to it, and the note under the question box says so. In that mode this is what is collected, why, and for how long.
| What | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| The questions you type and the answers given | To answer you, and to see which questions the published answers do not cover. With each message the service notes which published answers it used, whether the question was answered, and a topic label. If you mention your role, it keeps those words so that it does not ask you again. Before a message is stored, things that look like card numbers, passwords or keys, email addresses and phone numbers are removed from it. | 180 days after the last message in the conversation |
| The page you asked from, and a coarse device type (desktop, tablet or mobile) | To understand which pages raise which questions. The device type is worked out from your browser's identification string, which itself is not stored. | With the conversation |
| A random identifier for this browser tab | To keep one conversation together and to count steps of a visit. It is made in your browser, kept only for the life of the tab, and is not a cookie. It does not identify you. | With the conversation or event it belongs to |
| Contact details, only if you choose to submit them | Work email, and optionally name, company, role, number of stores, planning system, what you want to solve and preferred deployment. Used to reply to you about Kelynto. The questions appear only after you ask about something like a pilot or pricing, you still get your answer if you skip them, and nothing is stored unless you tick the box agreeing to be contacted. Kept with the record: that you agreed and when, a score with its reasons that decides how soon we reply, and our notes on the follow-up. | 2 years after the last change to the record |
| Visit events from a short fixed list | Page viewed, assistant opened, a suggested question chosen, a call-to-action followed, a product tour step, the contact form opened or dismissed. Each holds the event name, the time, the page path, the tab identifier, the device type and at most a few fixed labels (which button, which suggested question, which tour step). No free text. Events are recorded only when the product service has them switched on. | 395 days |
Your IP address is not stored with any of this. It is used in memory to limit how fast one address can send requests. To spot abuse, a scrambled value derived from the address and the date is kept with a conversation or contact record; it changes every day and cannot be turned back into the address. If a request is refused for exceeding the limit, the address is written to an operational log.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are respected. If your browser sends either signal, the site sends no visit events and no tab identifier at all. Questions you choose to ask are still answered.
Who answers. In its standard mode the live assistant replies with the published answers, chosen on our server. Nothing is sent to an AI model provider. An AI-worded mode exists in the software and is not switched on. If it is switched on, your question and up to three earlier exchanges will be sent to a language model provider to word the reply from the same published answers, each such answer will be marked as written by an AI model, and this notice will name the provider first.
Daily limits. The service accepts a fixed number of conversations, messages, contact records and events per day. Past a limit it says so and stores nothing more that day. The count it keeps for this holds a number per day and nothing about any visitor.
Please leave out anything confidential. The assistant answers questions about Kelynto. It does not need your sales figures or any personal information.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies, in either mode.
- It runs no third-party analytics, tracking pixels or advertising tools.
- It loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies. Everything on the page comes from kelynto.com, and the only other address a page calls is Kelynto's own product service.
- It does not sell or share what it collects for marketing.
What is collected when you visit any website
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details that every web request carries, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We do not use that information to identify you, build a profile or follow you across sites. Cloudflare describes its own handling in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it to reply and to continue the conversation with you. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone for marketing.
If you book a conversation
The booking link opens Calendly, a separate scheduling service. Calendly collects what you enter there, such as your name, email address and the time you pick, and shares it with us so the meeting can happen. Calendly's site uses its own cookies and is covered by the Calendly privacy notice, not this one.
The Kelynto product
This notice covers the website only. The product is a separate web application at app.kelynto.com, and it is not open to the public yet. When it is, opening the sample workspace or signing in there sets cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to complete a sign-in (dr_rt, dr_demo_rt, dr_signin, dr_fed). They are not readable by scripts, are sent only to the product, and are not used for analytics or advertising. Data a retailer sends to the Kelynto product is handled under the agreement with that retailer. The Trust center lists what the product handles and how it is protected.
Your choices, and how to ask for deletion
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email marc@kelynto.com from the address you gave us and we will answer.
- If you submitted contact details, we delete that record and the conversation it came from.
- A conversation with no contact details attached holds nothing that links it to you, so we cannot find it on request. It is deleted automatically when its 180 days end.
- You can use the whole site, including the assistant, without giving any contact details.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your personal information.
Changes to this notice
If the site starts collecting anything more than this page describes, this page will say so before it does, and the date above will change.
